Vivekanand Senior Secondary School, Conducted by Bhartiya Shiksha Samittee Uttar Pradesh, was founded on 12th January 1885 in the menory of immortal son of mother India - Swami Vivekanand, an international religious saint. The school, well equipped with modern technology and infrastructure is situated opposite J. L. Nehru Stadium, Shaktinagar. It was affiliated to CBSE, Delhi in 1994 upto secondary level and upgraded upto Sr. Secondary level in 2001 with the joint and sincere efforts of the school management committee and the high dignitaries of the NTPC.
